the Dragonlance: shadow of the dragon queen campaign at gameforce eindhoven 

Welcome to an evening at the Old Tavern, where mystery, hidden clues, and deception await you. 

A dead body has been found at the Old Tavern.

But the guest doesn’t appear to have died of natural causes.
In fact, all evidence indicates foul play and that someone at the tavern is a murderer.

You can sharpen your wits. You can search the tavern. Can you solve the murder?

• My tables are always beginners friendly. Always.
• Only official content allowed. For the more experienced players: only use the official things, ability score use Standard Array or Point Buy, Fixed HP, only starting equipment, etc.
• If there are non-Dutch people, the table will be in English.
• My primary goal is to create a fun evening for ALL players involved.

This mini-campaign is open to anyone and it is about elemental stuff!

But that's elementary, my dear player.

What happened previously?

You were tasked by a consultant detective's assistant named John Watson to visit him and Sherlock in the city of Doyle. And he asked you to also fetch some books from fellow detective Poirot. That is elementary, dear party!

You have located this Poirot; he is visiting a friend at his manor and this friend is hosting a dinner party. He also invited you all to join him and that's where trouble started brewing. Long-buried proof of equally long-buried love re-emerged and events led to the death of two party guests. You were able to solve both deaths (one accidental murder and one suicide). You also experienced the rumours about this place first hand: elemental phenomena are preventing you from leaving the manor.

Plus, due to all the events, you still haven't had dinner yet and are getting somewhat hangry!!

This session will likely have some combat, roleplaying and social interaction. It will also have above average mystery solving and various puzzle solving parts.

In the end, it is up to you how you want to play. Creative thinking is very much encouraged!

A bard talks, a rogue steals and a barbarian smashes their way through things.

This (mini) campaign consists of about 12-ish sessions. You are welcome to join all of them, a few or even just one. Every session will start with a summary of the mini-campaign so far. It is to make sure everyone can follow along and thereby participate in and enjoy the session as much as possible.

The following is applicable for this session (and the rest of the campaign):

• Level 3 (you will level up as you go further into the campaign).
• All official content is allowed.
• No homebrew & No Unearth Arcana.
• For ability scores use Standard Array or Point Buy.
• For HP use average.
• Custom Lineage / Races etc. from Tasha's are allowed.
• You may each select 1 common and 1 uncommon magical item for free.
• You each have 250 gold to spend on regular items before this session: so equip yourself / stock up!
• You may keep any gold you do not spend.
  (I see Potions of Healing as regular items, so buy as many as you like. Potion of Healing 50 GP each; Potion of Greater Healing 250 GP; Potion of Superior Healing 2500 GP)

Side notes:

• Most important is having fun.
• Rules are guidelines + goal is to have fun => if you want to do something fun then just say so and we'll figure out how that may go + DM decides how it plays out.
• This (mini) campaign consists of about 12 sessions. Each session is open to everyone, so feel free to join if you did or did not join the previous session(s) (i.e. hop on when you want). And no obligation to join future sessions (hop off when you want).
• This story is not about detectives; that is elementary.

This is a private table were we prepare for our upcoming campaign by using game sysems we have never used before. This week we are trying out the game "Mall Kids"

Everything has turned to sh*t. One minute you’re home, minding your own business, the next you’re kidnapped, infected by mindflayers, and crashed in the middle of nowhere. But at least in all of this, you’re not alone. You have found kin who are in the same boat as you and together you’re going to fix this. But now one of your companions, Scratch the dog, has fallen greatly ill. It’s time to safe Scratch! Because the lords of chaos might have a plan with you, but you are not losing your friends. Not if you have a say in it.

In this one shot you will step in the shoes of one of the 6 playable characters from the game Baldurs Gate 3. Characters are premade (level 3) and character sheets will be provided, along with standees for all the characters (options below). Players will choose together which characters they will play at the start of the one shot. Although this one shot takes place in the world of Baldurs Gate 3, the story is homemade and will not touch on any aspect of the main storyline of the game. It is not necessary to know/play the game to enjoy this one shot. The one shot will contain minor spoilers about the backgrounds of the 6 playable characters from act 1 of the game.

Astarion
Male high elf rogue – arcane trickster
Astarion prowled the night as a vampire spawn for centuries, forced to follow the orders of his sadistic Master, Cazador: Seduce every fool with a pulse, and lure them back to my lair. Free for now, he will do anything to keep his life in the light. He can see but one way to ensure his liberty for good: become many times more powerful than his old abuser ever could dream of being.

Gale
Male human wizard – school of evocation
What’s a God to a world-class wizard? Gale was once a formidable archmage in Waterdeep, but pushed his relationship with the goddess Mystra too far. Not satisfied with being her lover, Gale tried to impress her further and meddled with powers beyond even his abilities, his attempt leaving him cursed with an orb of Netherese magic trapped inside his body. The cataclysmic power of the orb has turned Gale into a weapon capable of annihilating an entire city, should he fail to control himself.

Karlach
Female tiefling barbarian – path of the totem warrior
Fresh-escaped from Hell, Karlach is finally free of the Archdevil Zariel – but not from the infernal engine Zariel planted in her chest. With her first taste of freedom in ten years, Karlach is eager to find a fix for the engine that’s burning hotter and hotter before it burns her out completely. But even more premiere in her mind? Exploring, finding like–minded travelers, falling in love (or lust)... and taking revenge on the man who sold her to Zariel all those years ago.

Lae’zel
Female githyanki fighter – battle master 
Crashed down to the Sword Coast from the stars, Lae’zel is a fierce warrior, even by the standards of militant githyanki society. When faced with the possibility of becoming a mind flayer, the monster she has dedicated her life to defeating, she must prove her worth and earn the right to rejoin her people if they don’t execute her first. Will Lae’zel’s strength and determination be enough to prove herself to her Queen Vlaakith, or must she walk another path in exile?

Shadowheart
Female high half-elf cleric – trickery domain
A devoted cleric of Shar, goddess of darkness and loss, Shadowheart agreed to have her memories wiped as part of a holy mission. Now its sole survivor, she must deliver a powerful relic back to her kin in order to win Shar's love and have her memories restored – but all the while, she is tormented by strange, painful magic that she struggles to understand.

Wyll
Male human warlock – the fiend
From a scion of a famed Baldurian house to a life of adventure on the road, Wyll’s life as the monster hunter called The Blade of Frontiers has made him one of the beating hearts of the Sword Coast. While he has done great deeds for the Coast’s people, the source of his power remains secret. The cambion Mizora drew Wyll into a warlock’s pact in a moment with many lives at stake, and cursed him with the duty of hunting her enemies. Mizora only asks Wyll to sacrifice devilish creatures to her, but a cambion’s ambitions are ever fickle, and Wyll wishes to escape the pact before its price grows cruel.

Deep beneath the surface of the world lies the Underdark, a realm of endless labyrinthine tunnels and caverns where the sun never shines. The Underdark is filled with races and creatures too numerous to count or list, and foremost among these are the dark elves - the drow. Hated and feared even by their fellow dwellers in darkness, the drow raid other settlements in the Underdark as well as the surface world, taking prisoners back with them. Rendered unconscious with drow poisoon, then collared and shackled, these prisoners are eventually sold as slaves or entertainment in the dark elves subterranean cities.

You start out as prisoner of the Drow.

Come and wolf down the adventure!
It’s been a long time since the people of Welton have worried about anything more frightening than sheep ticks or a late frost, but a now a pack of strangely determined wolves is driving farmers from their fields and spiriting away entire flocks in the middle of the night.

With food supplies running low and their sorcerer-in-residence nowhere to be found, the village council sends out a desperate plea for brave adventurers to destroy the beasts for good. As an added bonus, the councel offers a reward of 800 GP to anyone who can wipe out a pack of wolves.

Is the job as easy as a walk in the woods, or is there more to the Wolves of Welton than mere animal cunning? There's only one way to find out...

The following is applied for this oneshot:

• This is an adventure for level 3 characters

• When making your own characters please use Standard Array or Point Buy, and Average HP.

• All published 5e rulebooks for character creation are allowed, including Tasha's lineages and optional class features.

• Unearthed Arcana and Homebrew are not allowed.
