Frequently Asked Questions

Here you can find any frequently asked questions to help you on your way.

What time does the store open?

For the D&D / TTRPG events the store opens at 19:00. Games start at 19:30. Other opening times can be found on the store's website.

Is there enough parking around the store?

Yes, there is. We recommend setting your navigation to Speeltuin Gildebuurt and walking to the store from there. On nights when PSV plays football, parking is always a little harder, but there should still be spots there.

Be aware all the area around the shop is payed parking!

Can I pay by card?

Yes, but only by debit card. You cannot use a credit card.

Are the tables run in English or Dutch?

This differs per table. If there is someone who doesn't speak Dutch, the Game Master will run the game in English. If all players (and the Game Master) agree, it might be run in Dutch.
Note that some Game Masters can still choose to run the game in English even though all players are Dutch, for source material reasons, for example.

How do I know when sign-ups for tables are open?

Join the discord (https://discord.com/invite/QRwYkxY) and go to the rules channel. Click the D&D logo to join the D&D channels. Whenever a new sign-up day goes live (which is when there are 4 tables available), you will be notified in the chat. Be sure to not have it muted.
You can also sign up for a notification per mail. To do so, create an account on the reservation system. You can then enable an email notification in your profile that tells you when a new event is available.

Do I have to reserve a spot in order to play?

We prefer that you do. Because there have been so many players lately, we cannot guarantee walk-ins a spot at the table. If you want to be sure that you can play, claim a spot!

If I reserve a seat and it turns out I can't make it after all, can I cancel it?

Yes, you can. We do ask you to do this as quickly as possible, so that other players know that a new spot has opened. If you have Discord (https://discord.com/invite/QRwYkxY), we would appreciate it if you could post a message in the #rpg-general channel to announce that you're freeing up your spot.

I know nothing about D&D or TTRPG's. Can I join any table?

Yes. All Game Masters are fine with new players and don't mind showing you the ropes. Please let them know that you're new to the game, and they will help you on your way.
If you want to make sure you're not the only new player, look for " beginner-friendly" in the table description. This way, you know that everyone is aware that the table is for newer players.

Do I need a set of dice to play?

Game Masters and other players can lend you a set, and they are for sale in the store as well.

Do I need to make a character beforehand?

It's not required, but we do recommend it, as it is more fun to play your own created character. If you are unable to create your own character please let your Game Master know so they know to bring one for you. Some tables might specify that pre-generated characters will be supplied.

I am a Game Master, can I join your team?

The more the merrier! Leave a message in #rpg-general on Discord (https://discord.com/invite/QRwYkxY) to make your wish known, and the right people will contact you to discuss the possibilities..

I want to be a Game Master, but I don't know where to start. Can you help me?

Definitely! We're happy to help a budding GM in any way we can! Here are some ways we could help you get started:

  • One of our GMs talks to you about your wishes and vision for the game and helps you prepare it, every step of the way.
  • One of our GMs sits in as a non-player and helps you when necessary. Think of this GM as a lifeline. They will be as unintrusive as possible, unless you ask otherwise.
  • One of our GMs sits in a player and helps you with rules or decisions whenever you need it.
  • Ask any GM on game nights and they will be happy to help you!
