Every Thursday evening we host a One-Shot event. One-Shots are D&D or other TTRPG adventures that are played in a single session.
Weekly we try to get up to 5 GM's to run a table in D&D or other TTRPG rulesets and at different playing levels. It really doesn't matter if you are a beginner or expert player. All people are welcome. Our tables run in dutch and/or english (as we have a big expat community in the region in and around Eindhoven.)
Entrance fee for playing is 2.50 euro.
Please check out our socials for more information about the D&D and TTRPG One-Shots

Pirates, smugglers, and thieves fill the tavern in a vibrant port city. Rivo, a lizardfolk, is going from table to table gesturing wildly and saying: “Death is coming!”. Will you agree to help Rivo prevent the apocalypse?

You visited to the Analog cafe in the metal city of Striving on invitation of your friend Tier-99-Professor (but you may call him Tierny).
Instead of him, you find an android with a ghostly hologram of Tierny who speaks to you in a crackling approximation of Tier-99-Professor's voice.
"Greetings, former companions. If you're watching this, it's because I have experienced an unexpected shutdown. In organic terms, I am dead. I propose you enjoy a meal on my prepaid tab and seek emotional support.
My shutdown is within the normal range of variability, however it has occurred prematurely and left many of my tasks incomplete. In fact, the reason I invited you out tonight was to share a new theory with you: I am being pursued by a clever adversay who intends to shut me down permanently. I had planned to ask for your protection in exchange for payment. But the scenario has evolved.
As I no longer have need of protection, I have an alternative proposal for you: solve my murder."
Suddenly a laser streaks through the window, passing directly through the center of the holographic anacite's head in a hard light copy of a kill shot. The image explodes in a frenzy of light and static.
A hop on hop off adventure!
Come join the first session of this short, introductory campaign of the fresh Starfinder 2e system.
You don't need to know the system's rules, but it is very similar to D&D and identical to Pathfinder 2e. So, if you have a Pathfinder character you can bring it to the table! But you don't need to bring a character as I will be bringing plenty of pregens as well!
If you want to make your own character, there are plenty of online tools available. I recommend you use https://pathbuilder2e.com for creating your character (and unless you've played before I request you limit yourself to using content from the Core books). I also recommend you use https://2e.aonsrd.com as a reference website, it is the official wiki for anything Starfinder and Pathfinder and we'll likely be consulting that during the play session.
Why Starfinder or Pathfinder if they're so similar to D&D?
I like playing D&D 5e, character creation is incredibly fun, character sheets look good, the system is general enough for nearly every story and there are rich optional catalogues of magics, feats and items!
But combat is very mediocre and unavoidably so because D&D combat is unfeasible to balance because a player character's level does not reflect how strong they are, and thus GMs have roughly no idea how they should prepare so encounters are either cake walks or death traps.
I don't like asking you to learn a new system since we all know D&D already. But it's too much of a shame to see most thought-through tactics not mattering even though D&D's rules are mostly about combat choices.
Pathfinder and Starfinder are D&D but encounter building is fixed (and they're free), aside from that the systems will feel nearly identical.
If you like D&D, I think this system (once you are past the learning curve) will be a strict upgrade for you. I will of course be accomodating for players new to the system, since I really want to share how fun it can be with everyone.
If you have any questions, contact me through this website as I tend to not visit the Discord.
