Ragvala, also known as the "Coinmaker" is an ancient gold dragon who wishes to mend his broken friendship with his old adventuring buddy. Recently, there are rumors that his friend’s old magical instrument has resurfaced in the Quivering Forest. Unable to change shape anymore, the dragon needs the help of skilled adventurers who can join him on his quest.

For this adventure we will be using 2014 5e rules. Character creation rules:  

• This is an adventure for level 2 characters
• All official content is allowed
• No Homebrew & No Unearthed Arcana
• For ability score use Standard Array or Point Buy
• For HP use average

Your characters begin the adventure heading to one of their grandparents’ beach house for a fun weekend of sun, sand,and beer when suddenly,your car’s engine seizes up and breaks down. You're alone in the Pine Barrens and surrounded by not even God know's what.

Please be aware that Call of Cthulhu is a horrorsystem and events within the oneshot might not be suitable for all audiences. Boundaries and no-go's will be discussed at the table before we start.

Pre-made characters will be provided.

Your journey begins in the Feywild, where you stumble upon a desecrated temple, revealing ominous signs of dark rituals. A wounded priest implores you for aid, recounting a tale of a crazed hobgoblin who, driven by madness, fled into the nearby swamp with a stolen holy relic. Your choices will shape the fate of this magical realm as you start the quest into the swamp to get back the holy relic, and may your valor shine bright amidst the encroaching shadows that cover the Feywild.

The following is applied for this oneshot:

• This is an adventure for level 4 characters;
• When making your own characters please use Standard Array or Point Buy, and Average HP;
• Please use Legacy/2014 content;
• All published 5e rulebooks for character creation are allowed, including Tasha's lineages and optional class features;
• Unearthed Arcana and Homebrew are not allowed;

**Campaign setting**

This campaign setting will take place in the embercore. You're a person that has lived in this horrible place as long as you can remember.

You might have once supported the ideals of the empire or you were always against it. 

Maybe you finally had enough or something is forcing you to flee. Maybe some of the ideals still linger in your mind and you have a hard time leaving them behind. Either way somehow you find yourself in a search for something that can change your current situation. You're looking for the resistance. A group that only seems to exist in the hopes and dreams of the people struggling to stay alive. But you've found some clues that it's not just talk amongst the poor. You found out there might actually be a group hiding on the Lost isle. An island that once was alive until the empire cut it off completely. 

You gathered your courage and left your life behind in search for the resistance.

It is cold, close to freezing. You and your travel companions huddle around the flickering campfire in an attempt to keep warm. The shimmer of the flame reflecting on the still lake besides your camp. A soft, yet cold breeze russtles the last remaining leaves of the trees surrounding you. Snow starts to fall. Each one a soft cold touch on your exposed faces. The night is completely silent.

As you are talking, a man appears in your midst. No has seen or hear him arrive, but he is there. Dressed in nothing more than a pale robe carrying a quarterstaff bent and broken in places. He looks at your troop and proclaims: "Congratulations! you died."

As you look down, you see your lifeless bodies buried in the ever falling snow. What happened? who is this uknown figure? and is there a way to reclaim your lives.

This is a level 5 one-shot using the original 5E ruleset, not the new rules of 2024/2025. You can create your own character using standard array or point buy for your stats. You can use 250GP to upgrade your starting equipment. If you don't want or can't create your own character, i will provide some pre-build characters you can use. Hope to see you at my table soon!
