You and your friends have come to a three-day convention in celebration of your favorite weird-fiction author, Harrison Paul Likenstuff. The convention is being held in the Winding Hotel - a large, somewhat upscale business hotel located near an airport in Chicago. The highlight of the convention is a film festival of fan-created shorts inspired by Likenstuff’s work. 

After two full days of a fun and exciting convention, you and your friends will attend the screening of a highly-anticipated fan film called LEGS. What could go wrong on this harmless and enjoyable weekend getaway?

We will be playing Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition. We'll use pregenerated characters, so you only need to bring a pen, paper (or your phone for taking notes), and a set of dice (I can lend you some).

**Campaign setting**

This campaign setting will take place in the embercore. You're a person that has lived in this horrible place as long as you can remember.

You might have once supported the ideals of the empire or you were always against it. 

Maybe you finally had enough or something is forcing you to flee. Maybe some of the ideals still linger in your mind and you have a hard time leaving them behind. Either way somehow you find yourself in a search for something that can change your current situation. You're looking for the resistance. A group that only seems to exist in the hopes and dreams of the people struggling to stay alive. But you've found some clues that it's not just talk amongst the poor. You found out there might actually be a group hiding on the Lost isle. An island that once was alive until the empire cut it off completely. 

You gathered your courage and left your life behind in search for the resistance.

About 9 years ago, the farmhouse belonging to Chip and Walt Down, just outside of the town of Everstead, was lost to the flames.

40 Days later, Walt managed to dig himself out and make it back to town. Struck with grief. He hasn’t found the courage to go back to the house, and it's remains stand empty ever since.

Recently however, rumours have started that Holly Havoc and her Merry Misfits might be using the place as a hideout. You have decided to see if these rumours are through. Ever since the events on Valentine's Day, you are suspected of working with her, and you have decided that it's time to prove these suspicions are wrong.

This game will use the Sentinel Comics: the Roleplaying game system but you will not be playing as Superheroes in this story. This story will instead be a so called Sword & Sorcery style, like Conan the Barbarian or other over the top fantasy based comic books with characters based on familiar classes.. Rules will be explained at the table. Everything required to play will be provided, including dice and characters.
