D&D / TTRPG One-Shots

Thursday, 20 July 2023 @ 19:30

Location: Visserstraat 18-A, 5612 BT Eindhoven

Every Thursday evening we host a One-Shot event. One-Shots are D&D or other TTRPG adventures that are played in a single session.

Weekly we try to get 5 a 6 GM's to run a table in D&D or other TTRPG rulesets and at different playing levels. It really doesn't matter if you are a beginner or expert player. All people are welcome. Our tables run in dutch and/or english (as we have a big expat community in the region in and around Eindhoven.)

Entrance fee for playing is 3.50 euro + 1.50 euro for consumption credit.

Please check out our socials for more information about the D&D and TTRPG One-Shots

Prospective Delivery Witches Apply Within!

NOTE: This game is inspired by Studio Ghibli films, and consists of making bakery deliveries across town. The stakes are much lower than your typical D&D hack and slash adventure, and as such will not have a lot of space for violent or selfish characters. Please keep this in mind when creating a character and joining the table.

Your party lands in the colourful and vibrant streets of a coastal town, before running into a black cat with a scroll case in its mouth, peacefully watching the waves push and pull from the beach. As you approach the cat, it gets spooked by three ruffians tearing down notices on the nearby bulletin board. As the cat drops the scroll to hiss at them, the faint scent of cinnamon rolls and buttery baked goods wafts up from the freshly unfurled scroll...

The Kat and Cake Bakery is looking for new Delivery Witches* to help save their reputation against a group of saboteurs, the profit-oriented Purple Stove Outfitters. Are you and your team up for the task? If you think so, please, apply within!**

*Delivery Witch is a gender neutral title, and you need not cast spells to become one!

**Flying Broomsticks will not be provided to prospective candidates

  • This table will be run in English!
  • This is a beginner friendly table!  Ready-To-Play characters with simplified one or two page character sheets are available upon request!
  • Players will be at Level 3
  • All Official Content permitted (Standard Array Stats, Tasha's Lineages allowed, Unearthed Arcana excluded)

"T'is the winter of 1923, the coldest winter recorded in decades and the family of the (in)famous wealthy Boston cosialites has hired you and your friends in a time of doubt at a time of great unimployement.
Now that the O'Callahan family hired you and your friends last summer, you did't have much time to sit down ever since the baby arived.
Now stop stalling and head into downtown, the groceries need resupplying, the boiler needs wood and the baby needs her bottle"

Call of Cthulhu is an horror/investigation game using the works of H.P Lovecraft and other (Horror) authors as inspiration, this includes grim subjects and might therefore not suit everyone,
That being said, I strive to create a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone, the system works in procentiles and is quite intresting for both beginning and veteran players.
Due to the nature of the game, pregenerated characters are provided, there will be a selection of characters to chose from that all fit into the narative of the one-shot.

In case of any questions or notes you can contact me using the reservation site, alternatively you can massage me over at our discord: https://discord.com/channels/697040809102409810/761584427473043457

legacy of the crystal shard #3

The people of Icewind Dale have long stood against the perils of the North. For most of these folk, the events that shook the region a hundred years ago are now distant memories. But what was defeated was not destroyed, and the sinister influence of the Crystal Shard, Crenshinibon, has now wormed its way into the very land of Icewind Dale. As evil forces converge on Ten Towns, the people of the North face their greatest trial yet. Fortunately, they won’t have to face it alone.

Legacy of the crystal shard is a mini campaign for level 1-3 set in Icewind Dale, it is a prequel to the 5e adventure "Rime of the Frostmaiden". There are multiple threats facing the Ten Towns of Icewind dale, and your adventuring group doesn't have the 10 heroes you would need to be in 10 places at the same time. So you will have to make hard choices in regards to which town to help first.

You start out as a caravan guard, but will quickly become involved in politics, exploring dangerous areas and fighting horrible ice monsters.

The rules for character creation are::
- All official content is allowed
- No homebrew
- No Unearth Arcana
- For ability score use Standard Array or Point Buy
- Custom Lineage / Races etc from Tasha's are allowed

For your character background: come up with a reason why you would go to a relative isolated region, and why you would want to protect it. Do consider that you start out as a hired guard for a caravan.

recap (spoilers):

As the adventuring party entered Bryn Shander, several yeti's attacked the city. With the cart still in the city's gate, they were able to pour into the city.
With the help of the city guards, the adventuring party defeated the Yeti's.

Able to get their cart in the city, they encountered several things along the route to the warehouse
- A dwarf with caravan who needs to get to the dwarven valley, since there are problems with black ice there.
- A tribesman who got arrested and is punished for a crime he said he didn't commit
- A shopkeeper who has paid protection money to "Slim", but hasn't received protection

When the party got to the warehouse, they didn't see their contact Aaron who was supposed to be there.
They did meet the proprietor of the warehouse, who stored the delivery.

The party first decided to look for "Slim", and found that he was operating out of the "Northlook" tavern.
After hearing that Slim would be there in "5 minutes", the party broke open the door, and saw Slim and his henchmen with a dead body.
Slim turned into a rat and escaped. After the fight with the henchmen, the party found out that the dead body was Aaron, who also turned out to be a harper.
They learned that he was lured here due to a fake note from Mithann (cleric of Amaunator).
After visiting her, they learned that Aaron suspected that Slim is a were-rat, and the caravan chest is filled with silvered weapons.
The warehouse was however set on fire. After putting out the fire, the proprietor mentioned that he moved the chest to a different warehouse since he suspected that someone might be going after it.
He opened the chest that was moved, and it indeed was filled with silvered weapons. He also offered 50gp if the party protected this other warehouse the next night.
In the meanwhile, the party also convinced the Speaker (mayor) to put the tribesmen into jail instead of executing him.

Next morning, the party went after a lead that Mithann gave them. Where they found a secret entrance into the sewers.
And from the sewers, there was a secret entrance to the Jeweller that the tribesmen supposedly stole from.
In this jewellery they found black ice. They were harassed by thugs who wore black ice rings earlier that day, and subtly questioned the jeweller.
Shortly after this, they returned to their inn to re-asses. While there, they were attacked by cultists of Auril.
After talking to the tribesmen, they found out about an "ice witch" who controls wild animals and sets them to attack both tribes and the towns of Icewind Dale.

The party decided to safeguard the warehouse that evening, which got attacked by the thugs wearing black rings, and a hobgoblin.

Greetings operatives,

Vasil Talistrome, a sage who works with teh Golden Vault, has reported the theft of the Celestial Codex. This book contains rituals that, in the wrong hands, could be used to summon dangerous extraplanar entities. The book was stolen by a nobleman named Markos Delphi, who might be under the influence of some profane entity. Four adventurers hired to retrieve the book from the Delphi Mansion have disappeared without a trace. We have good reason to believe they're dead. This quest, should you choose to undertake it, requires you to travel to Delphi Mansion and retrieve the Celestial Codex. May you fare better than the last group.

Good luck operatives.

Rules for this adventure are as followed:

  • All official content allowed + Tasha's
  • No UA / homebrew / One D&D
  • Ability scores done by point buy or standard array
  • Your characters have been a group for awhile. You regard each other as friendly.

If you have any questions you can reach me on DM me here or send me a message on Discord @catisthebestt.

This is a private table and can't be registered for. Please contact the Game Master if you like to know more.
