Every Thursday evening we host a One-Shot event. One-Shots are D&D or other TTRPG adventures that are played in a single session.
Weekly we try to get 5 a 6 GM's to run a table in D&D or other TTRPG rulesets and at different playing levels. It really doesn't matter if you are a beginner or expert player. All people are welcome. Our tables run in dutch and/or english (as we have a big expat community in the region in and around Eindhoven.)
Entrance fee for playing is 3.50 euro + 1.50 euro for consumption credit.
Please check out our socials for more information about the D&D and TTRPG One-Shots

Baldur’s Gate is a city on the verge of war—a simmering stewpot of social tensions where even the smallest drop
of unrest might cause it to boil over and turn the city against itself. Walls cut Baldur’s Gate into three cities. The rich live atop bluffs protected from the bourgeoisie. Their homes cling to the slopes that literally prevent member of the middle class from rising above their stations. Beyond the protection of the walls, the city’s many’outcasts live with no law aside from that enforced by the daggers of thieves. In this powder keg, an old threat flickers to new life. The plot of a murdered deity finally comes to fruition, resurrecting the god of assassins. Bhaal wilI live again. And in the city that once thwarted his rebirth, three prominent figures unwittingly compete to herald his return. As the bodies clog the streets, can the heroes keep the city from tearing itself apart? Can they prevent Bhaal from claiming the mind and soul of one of the city’s most powerful citizens? Or, as the 3 battle their way to the top of the heap, will Bhaal’s favor fall upon one of them? Only one thing is certain:
There will be blood
Note: since this is a murder mystery, make sure to read the recap in case you want to join. Otherwise you will be missing vital information
Murder in Baldur's gate is an adventure set 10 years before the events of Baldur's gate 3. It is a prequel to Descent into Avernus.
It is set during the time of the Sundering, a period of years when many of the gods designate mortals to be their Chosen. Bhaal being one of them.
Your adventuring party is known as the "Heroes of the Wide". With the "Wide" being a large marketplace in the Upper city (upper class part of the city). So keep that in mind when making a character.
As you might expect from a campaign set in Baldur's Gate, expect a lot of morally dubious characters, and thus also a lot of morally dubious options that you might have available to stop Bhaal.
character creation rules:
all official content allowed
no unearthed arcana
point buy for stats
fixed hp
The specific Baldur's gate background choices would be useful in this campaign, but you can pick the regular background without the Baldur's Gate variant.
Also, due to the choices made during the campaign, a new character (and current ones that don't have these items yet) starts with the following items:
- 100 GP gold
- flaming fist brooch (rank: lieutenant inspector)
- Upper city pass (allows acces to the upper city during the evening and night)
- 1 common magical item
Recap (spoilers):
As the heroes of the wide were attending a festival, one of the 4 dukes of Baldurs gate (Abdel Adrian) got attacked
by a Bhaalspawn Slayer. In the aftermath of this, the adventures got approached by 3 different people who all
have their own theory as to why Bhaal (the god of murder) is active again in Baldur's Gate.
They also met someone from the parliament of peers named Coran.
Ulder Ravengard: With the death of the duke, Ulder Ravengard became the new marshal of the
flaming fist (Police force in the Lower city). He belies that law and order needs to be re-established to reduce Bhaals influence
Rilsa Rael: She is part of the Guild, a robin-hood style organisation from the lower city.
She claims that these problems are caused by poverty and income inequality
Torlin Silvershield: A Duke of Baldur's Gate. He believes that the cult of the dead three is responsible for the increase of Bhaals influence,
and he thinks that the guild is harbouring them.
Coran: One of the 50 members of the parliament of peers. He offered the party means to get information and
certain equipment from him (the kind that isn't easy to buy on a market or in a shop), for the right price of course.
He himself is a retired adventures who seemingly is nowadays moslty occupied with partying and drinking.
Current situation:
- The statue thieves have been caught
- Ravenguard want to be duke, and wants to implicate his political rival in a scandel involving the alchemist whose house your adventuring party searched earlier. He suspects this duke of harboring cultists (cult of the dead three) sympathies.
- The garbage collectors are still on strike. And more rats are starting to appear in the city
- A tarrif has been imposed on luxury good, probably as a form of protest from the lower city people due ot them not being allowed in the Upper city anymore after 4 o'clock. The harbormaster who imposed this tarif mentioned that it was an order from Ravegard, who in turn said it was from pressure of his officers.
- Coran has invited you to a party at his house later in the evening.

♫♪ We do not fear what lies beneath
We can never dig too deep ♫♪
♫♪ I am a dwarf and I'm digging a hole
Diggy diggy hole, diggy diggy hole ♫♪
You and your group of fellow dwarves have been investigating the disappearance of the dwarves of a mining outpost.

At the end of session 2 you found yourself standing over the dead body of the Mind Catcher you fought. You are inside the temple while the Mind Catcher minions are all outside circling the temple trying to get in. They have felt the death of their leader by your hands and are set to avenge him.
A natural reaction would be to fight or flee. You choose to flee. Only problem is that there is no way to escape; the only exit is the main door where a horde of enemies is gathering. They are only delayed by the mind puzzle that is preventing them from rushing in. You have some time so you decide to start digging a tunnel out of the temple. However, this soon proves to take too much time; even when using dynamite.
Two little Mind Catchers have found a way inside and force you to fight for your lives while 14 other Mind Catchers are trying to find their way through the puzzle. You swiftly end the two inside the temple and from the doorway manage to kill a few Mind Catchers one by one. The puzzle is helping you a bit as well by destroying the minds of the most careless minions.
In the end, you find yourself victorious over 15 of the 16 minions as the last one fled the scene. You all managed this with only minimal wounds on your own side. But the fight took most of your remaining energy and a rest would be in order. As you are preparing to take a rest, you hear pleas of help from behind the temple. Being the brave and valiant dwarves that you are, you split the party and each group goes to investigate their side of the temple. Both groups find a lot of cages containing either dwarves or "gray dwarf-like creatures".
And that is where session 3 ended: standing in front of many caged dwarves and dwarf-likes trying to make sense of what and why.
by Bertha
Main task: Find the missing dwarves and bring them back safe.
Status: Found 4 in the outpost (death by Faceless). Found 1 in the tunnels (death by parasitic plant). Probably another 1 dead (the one whom the Faceless used so he could change into a dwarf). Found 5 stashed in the chests in the temple. The remaining 20-30 are still missing.
by Bhatgorg after the battle in the temple
Side quest: Defeat a big brain meanie in the temple of the smarty pants.
Status: We did Boink! Also saw (fire) boom! Big meanie down. Head ouchie! We now go? How we go?
by Kharak after the second battle in the temple
Side quest: Get some rest.
Status: We wanted to get some rest and heal up, but suddenly people began calling for help. That's not a good moment to go to sleep.
The following is applicable for this mini-campaign:
Campaign type (& session type) (on a scale of 1-low to 9-heavy):
This session can be done in many ways It depends on your choices of course.
Character:
Equipment:
* befitting a dwarf ≠ unique for dwarves. Many items are not made specially for dwarves, but will still be befitting a dwarven character and are thus very welcome. For example, a +1 weapon may not be unique for dwarves, but a +1 battleaxe or a +1 warhammer fits a dwarf very well.
However, for example dwarves ♫♪ won't fly so high ♫♪. Therefore, Winged Boots or a Broom of Flying would not be befitting a dwarf.
Feel free to be creative though.

On their way to a large city to join an adventurers' guild; the party passes through a small town, plagued by gargoyles. They are hanging townspeople on flag posts by their underwear, terrorizing shops and generally being a nuisance to all the townspeople. Desperate, but unequipped to deal with this stoney problem, the townspeople pool together their gold and ask your party to investigate why the gargoyles left the abandoned castle outside of town. They are too scared themselves to go, afraid of what awaits them on the way there.
Of course, you are not only driven by the gold the townspeople offer. Doing this might impress the city guild, and of course you would be helping people in need. What else are you an adventurer for?
