D&D / TTRPG One-Shots

Thursday, 25 January 2024 @ 19:30

Location: Visserstraat 18-A, 5612 BT Eindhoven

Every Thursday evening we host a One-Shot event. One-Shots are D&D or other TTRPG adventures that are played in a single session.

Weekly we try to get 5 a 6 GM's to run a table in D&D or other TTRPG rulesets and at different playing levels. It really doesn't matter if you are a beginner or expert player. All people are welcome. Our tables run in dutch and/or english (as we have a big expat community in the region in and around Eindhoven.)

Entrance fee for playing is 3.50 euro + 1.50 euro for consumption credit.

Please check out our socials for more information about the D&D and TTRPG One-Shots

This is a disaster! Spellcasters all over the realm cannot summon their fay familiars. Somthing must've happened in Paliparan, the Domain of Delight where a lot of fay creatures go before they get summoned using the find familiar spell.

You are either

  • A member of the harpers, summoned to the Everlund stronghold for a job
  • You are a mage that is unable to summon their fimiliar, looking to solve this issue

As usual if you create a character. Please use the following rules:

  • All official content is allowed
  • No homebrew
  • No Unearth Arcana
  • For ability score use Standard Array or Point Buy

Reclaiming Blingdenstone #5

Blingdenstone, a city that was once the home of
thousands of svirfneblin (deep gnomes) and
the only safe refuge in the northern Underdark,
is in ruins. Although a brave band of svirfneblin
struggles to reclaim the city, the gnomes
cannot do so without help. The power to aid
them is in the hands of the adventurers.

This adventure is set in the Underdark. The place with the mushroom people (myconids), Drow, Duergar, and also the deep gnomes. These deep gnomes used to have a Town called Blingdenstone. It was protected with illusion magic, and other traps and trickery. However, many years ago the Drow managed to capture it. Some Deep Gnomes managed to flee. Several years later, the gnomes managed to retake part of their Town. However, driving away the Drow was only the start. There are still many problems in Blingdenstone, for which the gnomes (who suffered quite some losses) need your help.

The way this adventure is structured, is that there are 6 problems that the gnomes need your help with.
Each one you manage to solve allows the gnomes to help you out more. For example, if you reclaim the forge, the gnomes can make weapons for you. However, the other problems will become more difficult to solve over time. So choose which problems to solve carefully.

After this adventure has ended, it connects very well with Out of the Abyss. So we can continue right into there for those who want.

character creation rules:
- You are currently level 2
- all official content allowed (no unearth arcana)
- point buy
- fixed hp
- If you want, you can play the myconid race (you can find it here:  https://www.gmbinder.com/share/-LDJHDtETJ7Z916te-D6 )

This is a private table and can't be registered for. Please contact the Game Master if you like to know more.

Mark of the Mantis

Feared across Golarion, the Red Mantis are mysterious assassins famous for their iconic red armor, serrated sabers, allegiance to the mantis god Achaekek, and unflinching persistence to eliminate a target, no matter the danger. Yet for all their terrifying reputation, Red Mantis assassins aren’t indiscriminate killers: they’re zealous professionals fulfilling contracts and upholding their cryptic code of conduct.

When several councilors from Absalom’s Petal District recently turned up dead, their bodies torn by serrated blades and eyewitnesses reporting a sinister killer wearing red leathers with an insect motif, it didn’t take long to convince the populace that the Red Mantis were responsible.
Foremost in this outrage is Doatara Kelorbeyan, a surviving candidate for the Petal District council’s upcoming election. By casting herself as the successor of her murdered colleagues and the only person whose policies will ensure the Red Mantis are brought to justice, her popularity has surged. In truth, she hired tight-lipped mercenaries to murder her political rivals.

The Vernai, the leaders of the Red Mantis assassins, are furious—not just for being impersonated, but also because the murders were so sloppy. The Vernai charge the nearest Red Mantis group with infiltrating Doatara’s manor and executing her before the stroke of midnight on the eve of an upcoming festival.

Three of the assassins and a member of the local thieves guild (your characters) have already gathered in plainclothes to plan,
awaiting the fifth, Teskorbito, who is nowhere to be seen. Uncertain where the gnome might have ended up, the surviving quartet has little time to spare. They’ve recruited one of Doatara’s disgruntled hirelings (also a player character) and have gathered to plan their attack.

The target dies tonight!

Who can play at this table

Everyone, this table will be for Pathfinder 2e veterans and beginners alike. If you've played D&D before, you'll adapt quickly and if you haven't, then that's also fine! I have an alternate adventure prepared if the table is stacked with new people which is played at level 1 and suits as a gentle introduction to the PF2 system.

Player preparations

This adventure came with pre-generated characters so you only need to bring dice, scratchpad and some writing utensils. If you really want to bring your own character then make sure:

  • they are level 6
  • they are at least trained in intimidation, stealth and athletics
  • they have a backstory that fits with them working with or for the Red Mantis
  • you'd enjoy fighting with them in close quarters.
  • you know all their rules. Unless you know them by heart, I want you to have all their abilities, spells, special actions and other unique rules written out with the full rules description on the character sheet so you don't need to consult websites or books mid-session.
  • you have a level 1 version of them, since I might pull out a different adventure depending on who shows up

You are an established group of adventurers.
Although established, you're not famous or anything.
But you have managed to survive (that is something, right?!), saved some people (good for them!), earned some cash and items (good for you!), discovered that you all like to help people (like anyone doubted that?!) and even had some fun together.

Now you have decided to go on a well deserved holiday together so you can just relax from all the chaos. As it's all about who knows who, one of you has a nephew who knows a guy whose milkman used to live next door to the sister of someone who used to go to school with a holiday planner.

He has booked you a nice trip to a pittoresque village, called Autumnvale, in a valley near the mountains of The Alvern Peaks.
It is well-known for its beautiful little river, beautiful buildings, beautiful parks and beautiful surroundings.Truly a place where a group of adventurers can enjoy a time of some peace and quiet.
The holiday trip is booked and you already paid the planner in full so you got packing and off you went.

The only thing that you helpful lot of adventurers still need to do is ... to enjoy!

ps. (did I already mention you really like to help people?)

The following is applicable for this one-shot:

  • All official content is allowed.
  • No homebrew.
  • No Unearth Arcana.
  • For ability scores use Standard Array or Point Buy.
  • Custom Lineage / Races etc. from Tasha's are allowed.
  • You each have 500 gold to spend before and during the one-shot.
  • You may each select 1 common and 1 uncommon magical item.

I will provide character sheets for anyone who doesn't have a character.

Side note: The main goal is for everyone to have fun!
