D&D / TTRPG One-Shots

Thursday, 16 March 2023 @ 19:30

Location: Visserstraat 18-A, 5612 BT Eindhoven

Every Thursday evening we host a One-Shot event. One-Shots are D&D or other TTRPG adventures that are played in a single session.

Weekly we try to get 5 a 6 GM's to run a table in D&D or other TTRPG rulesets and at different playing levels. It really doesn't matter if you are a beginner or expert player. All people are welcome. Our tables run in dutch and/or english (as we have a big expat community in the region in and around Eindhoven.)

Entrance fee for playing is 3.50 euro + 1.50 euro for consumption credit.

Please check out our socials for more information about the D&D and TTRPG One-Shots

What is Fiasco?

is an award-winning, GM-less game for 3-5 players, designed to be played in a few hours with no preparation. During a game you engineer and play out stupid, disastrous situations, usually at the intersection of greed, fear, and lust. It’s like making your own Coen brothers movie, in about the same amount of time it’d take to watch one.

But I don't know how to play, how does this work?

The game itself roleplay & improve heavy, centring around d6's (standard 6 sided dice) these represent the relationships between characters and scenes, an in-depth run-through of the mechanics will be provided by me when we sit down, but trust me, it's rather intuitive.

So what's the story?

Well that's the fun bit, the story will be created by the shared characters and there elevatable spiral out of control.

What do I bring?

All the needed resources will be provided all you need is a good set of brains.

Due to the nature of the game this table will preferably be ran in English, if you have any further questions you can ask, either on here Discord find me @ Frozen Spip#8278

Our intrepid heroes have travelled in their ship, The Chad, as they named it, into the deeps of space and tried to survived deadly encounters. So far they have encountered a Nicholas Cage comet, a giant centipide, a dream eater, a giant mindflayer spider comanding a lance of intellect devourers, and, how to forget, they fought an eldrich lich to save the universe as we know it and prevented an elder god entity to devour everything. A bitter sweet victory it was, in which they got many powerful items and saved the universe, but they lost one of their fellow Ghost Kid, Wilfire, who died at the hands of the lich that calls himself as The Caller. Now our Ghost Kids went to their base on Saltmarsh for a short while to prepare for the next adventure. A lot of deadly dangers (and maybe a lot of riches) are waiting on the in the unknown. Are you ready to fly away and see the universe?

"We cannot let these savages stand in the way of progress!".  The mayor slams his fist down. A large map lies on the table, held flat by a knife piercing it right though the location of Troublemarsh.

"We need to expand our timber industry, and Troublemarsh is the simply only logical direction we can expand into! The Ironbark trees there will make us the envy of the kingdom". The ministers and generals standing around the table look at each other uneasily.

"But you mayoral highness," interjects an armoured man, "The lizardmen there have thwarted our every attempt to remove them. None of my men dare to go there anymore. I've even heard rumours that they have superna...".

"Enough excuses!", shouts the mayor, "If your men have gotten wise enough to not go to the swamp, we need to find a group that is either stupid or daring enough to do it!"

A small hooded character clears his throat and says hoarsly: "I think I might know someone..."

Information

This is a one-shot adventure in the EZD6 system. This is an easy to learn, very rules-light system designed for cool and epic one-shots, centered around the normal six-sided dice. Since it's also sometimes called "D&D without the rules", it's especially easy for beginners to the hobby, so if you want to start somewhere, start here!

Dice are be provided if you don't have them (The system uses just six-sided dice). Character creation is a quick process so we will do this as a group at the start of the game.

Legend of the Tomb - PLEASE READ before signin up!

Somewhere under a lost and lonely hill of grim and foreboding aspect lies a labyrinthine crypt. It is filled with terrible traps and not a few strange and ferocious monsters to slay the unwary. It is filled with rich treasures both precious and magical, but in addition to the aforementioned guardians, there is said to be a demilich who still wards his final haunt. Be warned that tales have it that this being, called Acererak, possesses powers that make him nearly undefeatable!

All accounts conclude that it is quite unlikely any explorers will ever find the chamber where the demilich lingers, for the passages and rooms of the tomb are fraught with traps, poison gases, and magical protections. Furthermore, the demilich has so well hidden his lair that even those who avoid the pitfalls will not be likely to locate their true goal. Only large and well-prepared parties of the bravest and strongest should even consider the attempt, and if such a group does locate the tomb, they must be prepared to fail. Any expedition must have magical protections and weapons, and must be equipped with every sort of device possible to ensure survival.

About the Tomb of Horrors

Tomb of Horrors was born in Gary Gygax’s home campaign and introduced to the world at the first Origins game convention in 1975. Since its original publication in 1978, Tomb of Horrors has risen to legendary status among D&D players and is generally regarded as one of the greatest adventures of all time.

In the words of its creator, “This is a thinking person’s adventure.” It was designed not for player characters of a certain level—though high-level adventurers are certainly necessary—but for players who enjoy a mental challenge and DMs who want to put their own spin on this truly unique dungeon

Information
