D&D / TTRPG One-Shots

Every Thursday evening we host a One-Shot event. One-Shots are D&D or other TTRPG adventures that are played in a single session.

Weekly we try to get 5 a 6 GM's to run a table in D&D or other TTRPG rulesets and at different playing levels. It really doesn't matter if you are a beginner or expert player. All people are welcome. Our tables run in dutch and/or english (as we have a big expat community in the region in and around Eindhoven.)

Entrance fee for playing is 3.50 euro + 1.50 euro for consumption credit.

The Ghost Kids go vampire hunting

After loosing the Dagger of Whispers to Agatha, barley surviving the fight in the volcano, our intrepid heroes are preparing a plan to kill their vampiric nemesis with everything they got. They have thousands of gold pieces, renown, and access to a wide variety of magic items that can aid them in the fight. They will need every advantage they can get in this mission, since one of the many properties of the Dagger of Whispers is that it will consume the soul and outright kill anyone that goes down in the fight with a stab. All of the other eldritch powers of the Dagger of Whisper are a mystery. Agatha's mansion is indeed a place of evil according to all accounts of people that claimed to have survived. This is the most dangerous quest that our heroes have taken so far, so there is a chance that not everyone will comeback, and maybe they will even fail, but fighting against all odds is what the Ghost Kids call "Tuesdays, am I right?". The objectives are simple: retrieve the dagger and kill Agatha. May the Raven Queen favor you.

 

-For character creation you can use point buy, you start with 400gp, and you get to add a free feat!

-All official content is allowed, yet Unearth Arcana is not allowed, unless it is the newest release of One DnD.

-It is possible that the adventure becomes a two shot.

-This is a deadly quest. PC death is a possibility that you should be aware of.

-Your character forms past of the Ghost Kids for over a year. Your character works well with his party and must have a strong motivation to be in the adventure.

-If you send me a +150 word backstory in which you show the motivation of the character and what do they care about, you get to pick an uncommon magic item to start. 

-If you have used another character of the Ghost Kids, you can bring them back with all the gold and magic items that they have gathered so far.

Stormy seas rock your vessel, tossing her about like a toy in the jaws of a hound. Thunder rolls in the distance. Then, an arc of lightning splits the sky, and the sound like an exploding fireball all but bursts your eardrums. Your mainmast, struck by lightning, burns, splinters, and topples onto the deck like a felled oak. The last thing you hear is the cracking of wood as the deck explodes into splinters, and the ship is torn asunder. All goes black.

You awaken in shackles, half-submerged in water, and surrounded by salmon-pink coral. You survived, but what fate awaits you now?

The people of Icewind Dale have long stood against the perils of the North. For most of these folk, the events that shook the region a hundred years ago are now distant memories. But what was defeated was not destroyed, and the sinister influence of the Crystal Shard, Crenshinibon, has now wormed its way into the very land of Icewind Dale. As evil forces converge on Ten Towns, the people of the North face their greatest trial yet. Fortunately, they won’t have to face it alone. 

 

Legacy of the crystal shard is a mini campaign for level 1-3 set in Icewind Dale, it is a prequel to the 5e adventure "Rime of the Frostmaiden". There are multiple threats facing the Ten Towns of Icewind dale, and your adventuring group doesn't have the 10 heroes you would need to be in 10 places at the same time. So you will have to make hard choices in regards to which town to help first.

You start out as a caravan guard, but will quickly become involved in politics, exploring dangerous areas and fighting horrible ice monsters.

The rules for character creation are::
- All official content is allowed
- No homebrew
- No Unearth Arcana
- For ability score use Standard Array or Point Buy
- Custom Lineage / Races etc from Tasha's are allowed

 

For your character background: come up with a reason why you would go to a relative isolated region, and why you would want to protect it. Do consider that you start out as a hired guard for a caravan.

WELCOME TO THE FUNGEON DUNGEON

Every night, adventurers, families, and travelers from all over line up for a table or to experience the thrills of the “Fun”geon, the magical obstacle course built beneath the Dueling Knight's Tavern. Unique in its construction, the “Fun”geon is designed to offer thrills and near death experiences without any actual danger. Anyone who falls victim to one of its many traps or puzzles is rescued at the last moment from instant death and teleported safely back to the entrance. One of the main attractions are the giant magical mirrors that showcase the progress of whoever is currently  running the course. In between runs, live stage shows are performed by animated marionettes like Gizmo the Dancing Bear. Or at least, it would on any other night.

When you and your party arrive ready for a night of fun, you find local clerics healing injured townspeople, the town guard guarding the entrance, and the owner, Reginald, running around, his robe in tatters.

"The FUNgeon... it's broken!"

"There are still people inside!"

"Not Gizmo the Dancing Bear!"

What went wrong? Who is still trapped? What puzzles and traps you will find within? Only time will tell...

It has been 2 years, but the hunting never stopped.

Monster of the Week is a rules light game based on stories as Supernatural, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Scooby Doo. The general idea is that "every week" there is a new monster to deal with, using clues and research to find the best way to catch it.

Setting for this game:                        Monsters have started to live together with humans in secret. Some of them however are up to no good, and it is up to you hunters to protect Eindhoven and the surrounding area.

Beginner friendly, characters will be created at the table (empty character sheets will be provided).

Campaign: Wild Beyond the Witchlight #22

The traveling extravaganza known as the Witchlight Carnival visits your world once every eight years. You have a dim memory of sneaking into the carnival as a child without paying for a ticket. That memory has grown foggy over time, though it still conjures a weird admixture of emotions—wonder and awe mixed with loss and regret. During this childhood visit, your character lost something. You tried to find it, but the carnival owners—a pair of elves named Mister Witch and Mister Light—were decidedly unhelpful.

“Silly little screeching cricket,” said Witch. “You forgot to buy a ticket.”

“The carnival goes round and round,” said Light. “The multiverse is our playground. Nothing’s free and nothing’s lost. Every visit has its cost.”

As time passed, your heart became less heavy, and you gave less and less thought to those childhood events. Now, for reasons you can’t explain, the longing to retrieve that which you have lost has resurfaced, as though an old spell has faded away, allowing you to feel the loss as sharply as if it happened yesterday.

The Witchlight Carnival has returned, and you find yourself standing near a ticket booth by the entrance at twilight, just as the carnival is about to open. There you meet others who look as troubled as you. Without knowing how or why, you sense that each of them has lost something as well. Perhaps fate has brought you together.
